Rightly so, we spend most of our time highlighting the successes and experiences of our wonderful pupils in St. Tierney’s but sometimes it’s important to pause and reflect that we have happy and high achieving pupils because of our hard working and dedicated staff. This weekend it was lovely to celebrate with our Caretaker Paul, who was nominated by a parent for Backbone of the School Community in the Families First NI awards. Paul always goes above and beyond to make sure that the school is in pristine condition and is always willing to lend a hand with whatever is going on around the school be it fundraising events, school garden and even teaching pupils about bee keeping and the importance of maintaining an eco friendly school environment. We feel that Paul’s dedication reflects the attitude and commitment of all our staff and we were delighted with this well deserved recognition.
