First Holy Communion Celebrations
Such a beautiful morning to celebrate First Holy Communion with our Primary 4 class. It was lovely to see the whole school community come together to make the day extra special for our wonderful boys and girls. Huge thank you to Mrs Kelly and Mrs Reilly for preparing the children so well, they all carried out their roles perfectly and their art work was beautiful! Thank you to Fr Chester for welcoming the children to mass and for spending extra time with them as they prepared to celebrate the sacrament and to Michael for having the chapel so well prepared for us. Thanks also to Pat for leading our musicians and school choir. They were just fantastic, as always, and we are so proud and appreciative of all the boys and girls who sang their hearts out. Special thanks also to our staff who helped out with choir, booklets, setting up the chapel & hall and supervising the children and to all of the parents who donated food and helped out at the community centre. We really appreciate it all. Thank you to Edel for the communion cupcakes, Theresa for the photos and to Kevin for facilitating the use of the community centre. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I’m sure they certainly felt the love and support from everyone around them on their special day!
