Such a wonderful visit P3 had to the local heritage centre as part of our studies on Houses and Homes. We were able to see and hold items that would have been used in Roslea homes long ago and to get the first hand experience in front of the lovely open turf fire was a real treat. We even got to sit in the desks of the old school, see the teachers desk, slate and cane and experience what it would have been like to be a child then. The children were amazed to see photos of family members and read their own surnames on photos and documents. Huge thanks to Angela Murphy for organising and for sharing her time and wealth of knowledge with us.
